Gerðs Hearth is not your typical "prepper" site. Sure, we will have the normal prepper stuff. How to's, DYI, homesteading tips etc. What set's us apart from the rest, is that we doing it from a Pagan/Heathen worldview.

We see things different. Instead of bending the world to conform to us, we try to work together with the world. We'll explore how to prep, survive and more importantly thrive through what ever the world throws at us. Look through our About Us page to find out more.

An update, and some discussion on the site direction

As y'all may have noticed, we've been out for a few weeks, Some health issues, (Getting old SUCKS!) work issues. And mostly where do we want this to go, and what do we want to do, teach and most importantly talk about.

This is ultimately going to be a business site. We'll sell a few things, teach some more, and have affiliate links to Amazon and other prepper oritated places. Hey the idea is to try to make a living on this. Well more of a network of things to make a living.

So the issue I've been having, is a multifold. What shop keeper wants to discourage business? None. Buit the current era we live in where people are walking on eggshells so not to "offend" someone is getting out of hand. Write an article on "black guns" Someone is offended. Write an article on benefits of adding more vegetables to the diet: Someone is offended. Do an article on Freya, Isis or The Morrigan? Yup you guessed it. Someone is offended.

We, I can't do that. So here is the deal. We'll write the articles and teach the classes. We make a mistake, Let me know and it will be researched again and corrected. You "feel" it offends or "just don't like"? Sorry please try again later.

This isn't political right vs left. Politics is bullshi....... poop. It has no place in prepping. Especially being a pagan prepper. We have it hard enough being Preppers, Survivalists, Homesteaders etc. Add in being pagan of some flavor? Makes it 3X has hard. At LEAST. Now toss in BS Politics. It is adding kerosene to a bonfire. Folks it's time to grow up and put on your big boy or big girl panites. Miðarth isn't a nice place at times. We need to act accordingly. We don't care where how or even if you pee.

You want to learn prepping, how to make waterproof fire starters, A water filter out of a plastic 5 gallon bottle. Handcraft a bow or even a blade? We're were you need to be. You want to get all butt hurt over where people pee, black autoloading weapons or raw milk? Find somewhere else. We ain't for you.

Oh one more thing. The news letter is going away for the time being. I wrote a neutral paragraph on Colloidal silver and the program flagged it as "fake news. Sigh and their program wouldn't let it go out. So for the time being we'll do updates on Instagram, Twitter and I'll have my wife cut and paste from an email to here on FB. Yeah, still permabanned.
