It’s been a long while.
Too long. Between uncertainness at work, a few surgeries. And other factors of life in the 21st century, I let this place fall into disrepair. And came to a realization that I can’t do it alone.

It’s been a long while. Too long. Between uncertainness at work, a few surgeries. And other factors of life in the 21st century, I let this place fall into disrepair. And came to a realization that I can’t do it alone.
We, will I (for now) try to keep politics out of prepping. Other than watching the which way the wind blows and what stupidity is spewed from not only Washington and out state capital of Columbia. But this past month and a half has shown that people, especially people that are in tough times already faced a very serious episode of food insecurity. This showed me a very serious problem. We all have our opinions on government assistance, and this is not the place to talk about them. But I will say that while food banks are needed, the need to show people not only those that live in the country, but the cities as well, potential pathways to get off the “government teat”. Am I suggesting a return to the times of the great depression where people starved in the cities? Not at all. I am suggesting that we take some of those ways of our ancestors and apply them to today.
But I cannot do it alone. And no I am not “hiring”. What I am thinking about is asking folks to write blogs here. Share their ideas tips and life hacks for prepping homesteading herbal tips and survival.
But why? Well the why is, while all of us wish we had a ready made magic wand to end hunger in our communicates. Take the pressure off of families, and individuals. But mainly to help get people away from the dependence of the government. Yes there are people that need help. But if we can teach people, be they in the country or the city to grow some food, find some ways to help take of their health. Make some money learning new skills. That's the why
Write your text here...People who are interested I’d love to talk with y’all. Give editorial access to the the site. And show how to link you amazon account for items that y’all have found that work and let Amazon give you a percentage off the item when someone purchases it. We’ve found that it can add up. We do have some rules.

No bigotry.
No Politics
No illegal items or techniques.
Even though we are primarily for Heathens and Pagans, folks of others faiths find our page, so no religious bashing.
Love of another is no one’s business but their own. Everyone has their own opinion on that. Here. Everyone is welcome to write and share knowledge. Any LGBTQ+ bashing is not, WILL NOT tolerated. Period. Violation will cause all works written by that person to be removed and they be banned from ever accessing Gerðs Hearth.
The same goes for plagiarism. Copy write material images, documents etc may not be posted without the original authors permission. We have access to images that are copy write free or with permission to use. (Pixabay, Canva etc) I can provide access to those sites.
While I do not have any problem in sharing to personal web pages. I do ask that, 1. The post must be linked back to Gerðs Hearth. The owner and author of the post owns their words. I do want traffic driven to Gerðs Hearth.
The people who choose to write blogs to Gerðs Hearth must realize this is NOT a paid position. You may and I encourage links to an Amazon commission account. I want NO part of your commissions. I have the ability to set up online store. For that I’d like to ask for 10% of your gross to help pay for Gerðs Hearth, the hosting and email charges I don’t want to get rich off other folks. Just enough to help cover the costs.
And give permission to use them for personal use. Still need to work out the legal minefield. But I know a lot of people much smarter than I am!
